1 Teal Drop – Beginning to Spin

April 2016  – Teal Drop

I had been to a craft show and watched the ladies spinning.   It reminded me of have a lesson when I was 10 and how much I enjoyed it.

Bought a drop spindle and some lovely teal merino.  It is beautifully made and the spindle itself looks and feels really nice.

However………

THIS IS NOT FUN!!

I think mostly cause I had NO idea what the hell I was doing!!  Youtube videos are not the greatest help!!

BUGGER THIS FOR A LARK!!  I am getting a REAL wheel!!

PS.  Feb 2019 – tried this stupid thing again – its actually pretty good!  I think I will have to learn how to use it properly, but I still prefer the wheel or turkish spindles.
