845g reddy brown alpaca from Sam (who I got the wheel from).
This is soooo different from wool! So hard to start, I tried quite a few times before I gave up and waited to ask the guys at spinning for help.
Apparently you have to start a bobbin fairly thick, then go thinner.
Needs more twist to stop the single from breaking, but it was still much easier to break. SO annoying!
It does get easier the more you do it.
